Photographer Referrals:
Any clients that approach us seeking more involvement as talent in the film and television industry must have professional photos that help market their product (themselves!).
Typically we refer our actors and models to Alan Weissman in Los Angeles. Alan has a long track record of experience and gets great photos of his subjects. Below is some information from Alan's studio... feel free to contact his studio manager with your interest.
We do not negotiate his work, his time, or his fees... this is simply a good old fashioned referral. If you're a photographer who wants to be considered for this page, feel free to send over your contact infomration and portfolio for possible inclusion.

Acting Headshots
After looking at the pictures on Alan's website, you probably noticed that all of them look slightly different. The reason for this is because Alan works with each client individually to achieve the perfect lighting for that person. Alan knows that the most important aspect of a headshot is to capture the actor's personality in order for it to shine through.
Your Session
Before beginning a shoot, Alan takes some test shots, which you will be able to review with Alan on the computer to make sure that you're happy with the lighting, background, colors, clothing, makeup, etc...
To take pictures that are uniquely "you", Alan spends a bit longer on a headshot session than some other photographers; a typical session lasts about 3-4 hours and Alan takes between 60-100 shots for each look.
After Your Session
A few days after your session, we will send you a personalized link to an online gallery. Once you decide on your favorite images, we will upload them to the retoucher and/or to the photo lab. In order to maintain quality, Alan likes to check the images before they are sent to the printer. You may use your own retoucher, but Alan will ensure that you are not over-retouched and that the files were prepared properly. Retouching costs $45 per image.
Session Fees
Alan charges $395 for a 2-look session and $495 for a 3-look session. Additional looks are $100.
All of Alan's clients also get 50 free prints of one image from Ray's Photo Lab in Hollywood. There is a one time set-up fee of $28 for your name to be added to your prints. There is never an extra charge for us to upload images for you.
Our make up artists charge $150, depending on the availability. The artist will be at your side throughout the shoot to keep an eye on your hair and makeup.
Location & Hours
The studio is located in the hills of Studio City.
Our studio hours are Monday - Friday 10:00am - 6:00pm and Saturdays by appointment.
